APSCON is the annual Convention of the Australian Photographic Society. It is not just for Members. Anyone, with an interest in photography, can attend, regardless of your photographic level.
This year, the location is Albury, NSW. Located at the centre of the Sydney – Melbourne – Adelaide triangle, Albury offers the convenience of fast, easy access by air, road and rail. A location that has big city creature comforts and services without all the big city stress, hassles and costs.
WHAT DOES APSCON INVOLVE?
Apscon is a seven day program comprising of:
- Speakers: International, National and Local Photographers giving presentations that will be entertaining and informative.
- Workshops: A chance to learn / improve on various aspects of photography.
- Field Trips: Grab your camera, board a coach and travel to Mt.Buffalo National Park and/or the Victorian Historic Towns of Yackandandah and Beechworth.
- Dinners: Mingle and meet new friends at the Welcome Cocktail Party or the Official Dinner.
- Social: A night of fun and frivolity at the unique Kinross Woolshed Hotel.
- Slides / Images: Projected for your visual enjoyment.
- Audio Visuals: Be taken on a stunning journey to International destinations.
- Displays: Framed photographs including 350 selected from the APS National Competition, 100 of the best from State Camera Clubs, plus other photographic displays.
- EDI Gallery: Continuous multi-screen showing of Tri-National images [South Africa, New Zealand and Australia]
- Free Time: Time to get out and photograph the local heritage buildings, streetscapes, botanical gardens, nearby wetlands, etc
OR: a quiet spot with a cappuccino just to re-program.
