For the August outing we will be meeting in Rundle Mall in the city, at the balls, at 3pm.
What to photograph: a suggestion is to try and make images for the upcoming People in Motion set subject competition. One way is to put your camera on a tripod and use a slow shutter speed to blur the movement of people walking by; another is to try panning using a slow shutter speed.
The annual Photojournalism, Photo Essay and Photo Project (Photo Travel) competitions are coming up on September 29, so the outing may also present photo opportunities for these topics. The end of year competitions are not far away either, and the sections are: Pictorial, People and/or Portraiture, Architecture, Nature, and Creative/Experimental. Apart from nature, there should be opportunities for making images for the other sections.
